The former president of Elche José Sepulcre Fuentes dies

MADRID, 16 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

José Sepulcre Fuentes, president of Elche CF in 1987 and director during different stages, has died this Sunday at the age of 95, the entity from Elche has confirmed.

“From Elche CF we show our condolences, affection and affection for all his relatives. Rest in peace,” said the club, which reported that his burial will take place this Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Basilica of Santa María.

Sepulcre Fuentes stood out as one of the best shooters from Elche, being part of the Pigeon Shooting Sports Society and winning different local and national titles. In addition, his son, José Sepulcre Coves, was also president of the club and the entity’s largest shareholder.

The first team footballers will wear black armbands in this Sunday’s match against Girona in Montilivi. Likewise, in the next game at the Martínez Valero, against Valencia, a minute of silence will be observed in his memory.
