The first round, an example to imitate for Sevilla in February

Sevilla will officially start this Saturday against Osasuna a February in which in addition to four league games, rwill exit the Europa League with its tie against Dinamo Zagreb. However, focusing on the domestic competition, Sevilla use as an example their results in the first round against the same rivals they will face this month to continue in the fight with Real Madrid.

The numbers are clear: Sevilla added 10 of a possible 12 points, scored seven goals and only conceded one. Starting with their rival this weekend, Lopetegui’s men beat Osasuna in Nervión 2-0 with goals from Diego Carlos, a doubt for Saturday, and Ocampos. Next week he will receive Elche, the only one of their rivals this month not to have been beaten in the first round, as their matchday three clash at the Martínez Valero ended 1-1.

The next stop will be the visit to Espanyol, which, like Osasuna, fell 2-0 in Nervión with goals from En Nesyri and Rafa Mir. February will close in style, with the third derby of the season that will see Betis visit Sánchez Pizjuán. With the embers of the butler duel still fuming, the League derby ended 0-2 for the sevillistas.
