The Federation loads the final phase in a single venue to decide the promotions

The Spanish Federationin the Commission of Second B – Second RFEF held this Thursday, has proposed retrievestarting next season, the format of playoff of that category with roundtrip qualifiersa. In addition, this criterion would be applied to the rest of the categories (First RFEF and Third RFEF).

After the period of reflection and consultations that the RFEF itself opened this Monday with the territorial federations and with the clubs, it is thus proposed return to traditional format with two-legged playoffs. In the case of the Second RFEF, the system would be the same for the Tournament of Permanence, played by the four worst teams that finish in thirteenth place in their groups.

It should be noted that, in an exceptional scenario due to the pandemic, the RFEF implemented a final phase with single headquarters in order to guarantee the completion of the competitions. After listening to the complaints of the clubs, this format will be implemented again from the next 2022-2023 campaign.
