The Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) and the brand specializing in accessories and sports products Wilson announced this Tuesday an agreement by which from next season and for the next eight years the national men’s and women’s competitions organized by the entity will be played with the ball from the American brand, according to a statement.
The agreement, which will begin at the start of the 2024-2025 season and will extend for the next eight years, will mean that all men’s national FEB competitions, including LEB Oro, LEB Plata and Liga EBA, as well as the women’s LF Endesa- Challenge League-Women’s League 2 will be played with Wilson ball. The American brand will also be the official ball of the Queen’s Cup, the LEB Gold Princess Cup and the LEB Silver Cup.
In men’s competitions the Wilson EVO NXT size 7 ball will be used, while the Wilson EVO NXT size 6 ball is chosen for all women’s national competitions. Likewise, all 3×3 tournaments (men’s, women’s and juniors) organized by the FEB, such as the Spanish Championship for Regional and club teams, will be played with the Official FIBA 3×3 Ball from Wilson, which has been the official supplier of FIBA 3×3 Balls for 4 years. the competition organized by FIBA at an international level.
The sponsorship extends beyond the professional leagues, since Wilson will also be the Official Ball of the Spanish Championships of Regional Minibasket, Children’s and Cadet Teams, as well as the Spanish Club Championships of all categories from Minibasket to junior.
