Atlético de Madrid Feminino announced this Wednesday a new reinforcement for this coming season, that of the young Sevillian defender Andrea Medina, who arrives from Real Betis and who has signed with the rojiblancas until June 30, 2026.
The 18-year-old footballer who plays as a left-back, played the last four seasons in the ranks of the Verdiblanco team, with whom she made her debut in the 2019-2020 campaign when she was just 15 years old, and has recently been part of the Spanish team that has been proclaimed champion of Europe U-19.
“I am very excited and happy that a club like Atlético de Madrid has opted for me, and I hope to be able to return everything to them with work and effort. I am looking forward to feeling the fans close by on the pitch supporting us, and I hope to bring a lot of joy with this shield” Medina pointed out on the Atlético website.
The Spanish defense is the eighth addition to the mattress team for next season after those of Eva Navarro, Ainhoa Moraza, Cinta Rodríguez, Andrea Staskova, Irene Guerrero, Merle Barth and Xènia Pérez.
