The Euroleague breaks attendance records in the Regular Phase

The Regular Phase of the Euroleague 2023 has broken the attendance records of the highest continental competition in its regular season, with an average of 8,748 fans per game, which is the highest figure in history, with a total of almost 2.7 million of fans in the stands.

This 2022-23 regular season averaged the highest attendance on record in the EuroLeague, with an average of 8,748 spectators per game, which surpasses the previous record of 8,676 average during the 2019-20 campaign. Overall, it was an “exceptional” year for the EuroLeague, with a total of 2,668,148 spectators.

More than half of the teams played with at least 80% attendance in their arenas and four of them were at 90 percent on average, with Zalgiris Kaunas and Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv leading this table, with 96 percent attendance. half.

However, it was Partizan Belgrade who led the highest average attendance at their team’s matches in the Regular Phase, with 17,763 spectators per game, playing before 88 percent of the Stark Arena’s capacity.

On the other hand, six of the eight teams in the ‘Playoffs’ registered an occupancy rate of more than 80 percent, and five of the six teams with an average of more than 10,000 spectators per game reached the ‘Playoffs’.
