Lissavetzky, president: “Being part of the debate spaces beyond our borders is one of the purposes of the foundation”

MADRID, 4 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The España Activa Foundation has been accepted as a member of the World Active Assembly, the global platform that unites the fitness and physical activity sector, according to said organization in a statement.

Thus, the entity chaired by the former Secretary of State for Sport Jaime Lissavetzky will form part of this organization whose objective is to debate the common opportunities and challenges of the industry, speak with a unified voice and promote health and well-being throughout the world through collaboration and innovation.

In line with its mission of getting ‘more people, more active, more times’, the España Activa Foundation continues to focus on playing an important role in the fight against a sedentary lifestyle and the promotion of physical activity in the population.

“Being part of the spaces for debate beyond our borders is one of the purposes of the Foundation. We work every day to make our society more active and healthier and this new collaboration is an example of this”, explained Jaime Lissavetzky , President of the España Activa Foundation.

“It has already been shown that promoting health care should always be at the center of decision-making by all governments and this alliance at a global level will help us to set common objectives in terms of promoting physical activity,” he added. .

Members of the foundation attended the World Active Summit, World Active’s first physical meeting that was held during FIBO Global Fitness in Cologne. In this meeting, the different agents of the sector from all over the world exchanged opinions, lessons learned and good practices.

This collaboration reinforces Fundación España Activa’s commitment to promoting active lifestyles and adds to other actions such as EmpiezaXti, a program of free activities developed and directed by qualified personnel with the aim of bringing physical activity to all audiences, o Activate for a better life, an initiative with which the institution seeks to promote active lifestyles in schools throughout the country.
