With an emotional letter on Instagram, the man from Madrid explained: “I am a person with a tendency to gain weight, with anxiety, with difficulty concentrating and being able to learn to play a musical instrument in a way that I consider correct.”

“I’ve learned to sing and not hurt my throat in recent times, I have to learn things by heart, I have a good ear, I know everything about Spanish pop/rock, I don’t know anything about audio technique, I don’t know produce a drum pattern for a song,” he continues.

“I had a successful band. I’ve written a lot of songs that are part of people’s lives. Then I broke up with my band and it’s all turned into something very, very nice. This year people decided to buy tickets for 5 WiZink Center in less than two months; both the purchase and the execution of the same”, thanks.

“Sometimes I’m thin and other times bloated. Emotionally I’m not a very balanced person, I suffer a lot. I really enjoy being on stage, now without drinking much alcohol. I’m not a great singer, I don’t know if I’m doing it well either and the truth is that there is something that surprises me: that 22 years later all this continues to happen with the impostor syndrome that I have so great; the truth is, it amazes me”, he admits.

Before finishing, the artist thanked all the fans: “I never thought anything of what has happened on this tour would happen: I never imagined a staff like that, a sound like that, a band like that, an audience like that and a life like the one I have. Thank you for everything. Ending up in La Riviera was necessary for me, before returning to the reality of being Daniel, the one who lives on his sofa, the one who drinks wine, the one who plays soccer badly, but It puts his heart in. Touching ground”.

And, finally, he says goodbye with a promise: “I’m not going to follow trends or modify my sound to get to the Grammys. I’d rather get the Grammys doing the reggaeton that Jorge Drexler does and doing the duets that he does on his records, and follow those kinds of organic and sincere paths. I intend to continue being who I am, I’m only going to improve as a person. See you later, forever, until when it really comes out.”
