The eleven of day 27 of Diario AS in LaLiga SmartBank

The twenty-seventh LaLiga SmartBank day had eleven protagonists that we detail below. Ruben Díez (Castellón) stood out, above all, with two goals and one assist; and Sadiq (Almería), with a goal and assistance. Whalley (Castellón) kept his clean sheet with good interventions and saved a penalty.

Goalkeeper

Whalley (Castellón)

Castellón won again after four consecutive defeats and did so forcefully against Las Palmas. Whalley was immeasurable in the goal with four stops of merit, in which he stood out above all, a penalty to Ale Díez, with a good stretch to his right post. The Aragonese goalkeeper reached out to clear the ball.

Defenses

José León (Alcorcón)

Bittersweet match for José León. The defender scored his second goal of the season with a header, but it did not serve to score much-needed points for Alcorcón. The goal had to be reviewed by the VAR, due to a possible offside of the central Madrid. However, it was shown that he was in a legal position at the time of the auction.

Akieme (Almeria)

Akieme continues to grow in Almería. If a few weeks ago he entered the best eleven after scoring his first goal of the season, this week he is the protagonist for his spectacular assistance to Lazo, in Almería's second goal. The winger controlled a long pass from Samu Costa from his field and assisted the midfielder to score.

Vivian (Mirandés)

Vivian is sweet. The defender was key in the victory of Mirandés against Malaga, scoring the only goal of the game, on the only occasion for the locals. His goal had to be reviewed in the VAR for a possible offside, but he finally rose to the scoreboard to leave three very important points in Anduva.

Midfielders

German Valera (Tenerife)

The young Tenerife winger, on loan from Atlético de Madrid, has fallen on his feet on the island. In three stints of three games he has scored two goals. His last goal came this past weekend, to shore up the victory against Alcorcón in one against. He was also involved in the second goal of his own, with another sensational counterattack, in which he found Sergio González before he assisted Shashoua.

Marc Mateu (Castellón)

Marc Mateu's round match against Las Palmas. The midfielder scored a goal and gave another in the win against the island. His goal came from the penalty spot, one of his specialties (that's how he scored the three he's been in this season), and his assist was sensational: he went to the area for Rubén Díez to make the final 4-0.

Corpas (Almería)

Corpas is in the best year of his career and this is demonstrated by his goals. The Almería midfielder has eleven goals and is already in his best course since he was a professional. Against Lugo he made a double (the second of the season). In the first goal he picked up a rebound from the stick; and the second culminated in an assist from Sadiq from within the area.

Antonio Sánchez (Mallorca)

The leader is even more so thanks to a goal from Antonio Sánchez that helped Mallorca take all three points from Las Gaunas. The Balearic team midfielder went ahead of everyone at the near post and lodged his shot at the bottom of the net. Cufré signed up for assistance. He already has three goals so far this season.

Forwards

Rubén Díez (Castellón)

Rubén Díez was undoubtedly the player of the day. The Castellón forward was involved in three of the four goals. First with an excellent steal and assist to Jorge Fernández and then with a double (the second so far this season). He was also the subject of the foul that cost Araujo the second yellow.

Sadiq (Almeria)

Sadiq is still in a state of grace. The Nigerian striker scored his 13th goal against Lugo: he was the subject of a penalty, which he himself missed and did not miss in the rebound. To round off his afternoon, he scored the assistance of the fourth goal of his team, the work of Cups. Before he could have added as much to his account, but his shot hit the stick.

Djuka (Sporting)

Sporting rescued a point from their visit to the RCDE Stadium thanks to a goal from the most in-form LaLiga player: Djuka. The Serbian already has 17 goals and remains at the top of the table of top scorers. In his goal, he showed his self-confidence, and after great driving, he beat Diego López with a shot close to the post.
