The Dortmund manager denies that rumors about Haaland’s future pose “a big problem”

DORTMUND (ALEMANIA), 17 Ene. (dpa/EP) –

Boussia Dortmund coach Marco Rose insisted on Monday that speculation about the future of Norwegian striker Erling Haaland is not “a big problem” within the team.

Haaland assured in an interview on Norwegian TV, after last Friday’s victory (5-1) in the Bundesliga against Freiburg, that he felt that Dortmund were pressuring him to make a decision about his future in March. And it is that the young striker is one of the most desired footballers by many of the best European clubs and has a termination clause of 75 million euros in his contract until 2024.

From Dortmund they affirmed that there is no such pressure, although they do want clarity. However, the coach pointed out that the team is not affected by this situation. “For us it is not a big problem. The situation that there is constant speculation is not new. So I am completely relaxed,” Rose said before the German Cup match against St Pauli.

“The problem is so big because of the media coverage. Yesterday I spoke with Erling, about football. That’s all that interests me. He is looking forward to the Cup match,” he settled.
