The Dolphins say it’s likely that Jaylen Waddle hurt his hip and will get more tests.

Jaylen Waddle, a wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, could be out for a while, maybe even until the playoffs. Waddle hurt his shin on Sunday, and head coach Mike McDaniel says it looks like he hurt his high ankle.

He also said, “Those kinds of injuries can be tricky.” More tests will be done by doctors to figure out how bad Waddle’s injury is and how long he will be out, if at all.

Waddle left Miami’s win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday to the third quarter. After getting tackled, Waddle possessed to work to help the trainers and then had to go to the changing room to show that he was hurt.

He caught one pass for 50 yards before leaving the game. The Dolphins won 22–20 and are now 11–4 overall.

The Fins will play another big game within Week 18 when they go up against the Buffalo Bills. This one might end up being for the AFC East title.

Both the Dolphins and the Ravens have already secured a spot in the playoffs. The Dolphins are currently ranked No. 2, and the Ravens are ranked No. 1. However, home-field advantage along with a first-round bye are still up for grabs.

The Dolphins’ attack would be in big trouble if Waddle couldn’t play in one or both of these games.

Waddle has caught 72 passes this season and scored four scores. He has gained 1,014 yards, which is 13.1 yards per catch.

David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel writes that Waddle may have hurt his high ankle in Sunday’s 22-20 win over the Cowboys. Coach Mike McDaniel said this on Monday.

Waddle left the team twice after being allowed to return. The first time was in Week 16 because of an eye injury, and the second time was because of what was called a shin problem at the time.

The Dolphins are getting closer to figuring out what the problem is after doing more tests. If Waddle is identified with the injury that McDaniel talked about on Monday, he might not be able to work for a while.

The practice report for Wednesday will show how much work Waddle was able to do, if any. The team is now getting ready for Sunday’s game at Baltimore.

The following week, the Miami Dolphins and the Baltimore Ravens will play for the top spot in the AFC.

On Monday, Dolphins manager Mike McDaniel said that wide receiver Jaylen Waddle hurt his ankle badly in Sunday’s win over the Dallas Cowboys.

Waddle got hurt in the third quarter. At first, it was thought to be a shin injury, but it turns out to be an ankle injury. Waddle went over 1,000 yards for the third year in a row to start his career on Sunday.

And Waddle’s running back partner, Tyreek Hill, was also hurt in the ankle and missed Week 15. It is still unknown if Waddle will miss any time because McDaniel said that the squad is still getting information.

In the Dolphins’ 22–20 win over the Cowboys, Waddle caught a single pass for 50 yards and ran the ball for 2 yards. It was the latter play that hurt him.

With their win, the Fins almost certainly made the playoffs, but they remain in contention for the AFC East title or possibly even the top spot in the AFC. They probably hope Waddle will be able to help them reach their goals.

After their big win on Sunday, the Miami Dolphins may have a lot more work to do to win the AFC East title. He told McDaniel that he thought Waddle wasn’t going to be out for long.

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel told reporters in South Florida on Monday that Jaylen Waddle, who is thought to have a high ankle sprain, may be the best No. 2 receiver in the NFL. Waddle hurt himself in a win over the Dallas Cowboys.

McDaniel said that the team is giving Waddle more tests. If it’s a high ankle sprain, Waddle might not be able to play for a while. It’s likely that he’ll be off until the playoffs since there are just a couple games left in the regular season.

“He’s a really, extremely tough player,” McDaniel told Pro Football Network’s Adam Beasley. “He’s battled through several things this year, that has made him even more eager as a player to make up for that with his play.”
