The descent of the Fuenlabrada, a possibility of the last extreme

“We have weapons to pressure,” said Fernando Vázquez on Thursday when he spoke at length about the postponement of Deportivo-Fuenlabrada because of the positives for coronaviruses detected in the Madrid club. “Until the last consequences” is another phrase that has been heard in recent days in the environment of the entity of Riazor. That pressure reaches the point that Galicia is already beginning to speak of a possible descent of Fuenlabrada to the Second Division B. They grasp that in the disciplinary code of the Royal Spanish Football Federation there are two articles (68 and 74) in which it could be interpreted that the 'Fuenla' has incurred a very serious offense, which entails a sanction that ranges from heavy economic fines, through disqualifications, loss of points and even administrative decline.

This was indicated, for example, by the newspaper 'La Voz de Galicia', which uses the aforementioned article 74, which describes as very serious “the omission of the duty to ensure the proper development of sports shows that involve risks for spectators or for the participants in them ”. It would be in the event that it was shown that there has been negligence on the part of Fuenlabrada. Article 68, for its part, speaks of “conduct contrary to good sports order”, which according to the Galician newspaper would be not having respected the protocol of the League.

The information is in line with the complaint made by Deportivo. 'El País' published the letter from the Coruña club, which casually appeals to articles 68 and 74. “The basis for such a request (opening of the file) is carried out on the understanding that the CF Fuenlabrada SAD would have breached essential obligations imposed by the health and sports authorities as a consequence of the health crisis caused by the covid-19, and by the federal regulations that must regulate the behavior of the clubs to guarantee the integrity and normal functioning of sports competition ”. The Fuenlabrada alludes, for its part, that at no time did it put the participants of the meeting at risk, for the simple fact that the League, Federation and CSD did not hold it when they decided to do so.

In any case, this specific part of the complaint would only affect what could happen with Fuenlabrada and those three points that are pending for dispute with Dépor. It would not do the Galician club any good to add them, since they would not be enough to not descend to Second B. If Elche would do well with a resolution contrary to Fuenla, since it would ensure him play the promotion playoff.
