On September 7, the French Tennis Federation (FFT) announced that the Grand Slam tournament (September 27-October 11) would host 11,500 spectators per day, divided into three areas.
The tournament itself, late on Wednesday, issued a statement to explain this change in the tournament's capacity: “The evolving hygiene situation in the Paris area has led the city's police department to limit the number of spectators who can enter the 12-hectare Roland Garros site daily to 5,000 during the tournament. Therefore, the FFT will assume the responsibility of organizing the tournament with a new design.
