The Technical Committee of Referees reported this Sunday that referee Miguel Ángel Ortiz Arias “at no time insults or disrespects” David López, as the Girona player denounced, and invited the Catalan club to listen to the audios of the match against Almería before asking for a “public rectification”.

“He only warns him that if he continues with this behavior he will be forced to show him the second warning. We invite the aforementioned player, the club’s coaching staff and the directors that the entity considers appropriate to listen, at the CTA headquarters, to the audios of the party. Once the hearing is over, we will request a public rectification in the same terms as he made his statements,” he adds.
The Technical Committee of Referees thus came out against the harsh statements of David López, who exploded in the interview at half-time with Dazn in Montilivi, pointing out that Ortiz Arias is a referee who “insults and lacks respect”, a practice that he said They know all the First Division players.
