The City of Football brings together the coaches of LaLiga Santander and LaLiga SmartBank

MADRID, 20 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Coaches from LaLiga Santander and LaLiga SmartBank met this Tuesday at the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas (Madrid) in a meeting organized by the Coaches Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), in order to “discuss lines of improvement for the group, as well as new training projects that are going to be implemented as of this season”, informed the RFEF.

The body celebrated that the initiative had “such a massive response” as the one produced, with the presence, among others, of Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid), Xavi Hernández (FC Barcelona), Ernesto Valverde (Athletic Club), Unai Emery (Villarreal), Andoni Iraola (Rayo Vallecano), Joan Francesc Ferrer, ‘Rubi’ (Almería), Aitor Karanka (Granada), Sergi Barjuán or Paco López.

This meeting served to verify “solidarity with the entire group of professionals who are in the elite, in addition to showing their willingness to help the continuous training of coaches so that the figure of the Spanish coach continues to be recognized worldwide.”

After a presentation by David Gutiérrez, president of the Coaches Committee, of the topics of interest for the group extracted from the individual talks previously held with each one of them, the coaches participated extensively, contributing their points of view with the aim of “strengthening the feeling of belonging to the Coaches Committee, as well as implementing lines of improvement”.

“We give more strength to the committee and to the figure of the coach. We have talked about important issues, the base of the coaches is very large and he is a somewhat particular figure in the world of football and he must have the necessary strength for our rights,” he said. Ancelotti in statements provided by the RFEF.

For his part, Xavi Hernández believes that with this type of initiative they try to “be supportive”. “We discuss a lot of things that we can improve on. Even though I’m a rookie, I try to help as much as I can, that’s what these fantastic meetings are for,” he added.

Ernesto Valverde sees it as “an important step for the entire group” and how they can “continue to advance so that it is stronger and has more voice”, while Unai Emery considered this type of meeting “positive” in order to “seek to improve in a difficult and very competitive world”.
