The Chicago Bears football team have announced on Wednesday that they return to Spain for the third consecutive year with the ‘Mini Monsters Clinic’, in which they will share the values of the sport with adults and children on a 9 -day tour, from March 17 to 25, for the cities of Madrid, Valencia and Badalona.
The Mini Monsters Clinic is a free training of ‘Flag Football’, an American football without contact, which will be Olympic sport in Los Angeles 2028. This activity has already been carried out these last two years through its ‘clinics’ for children between 7 and 12 years, with a duration of 90 minutes in the morning.
The objective of this activity is, they explain in a statement, “to transmit the importance of healthy diet, physical activity and adequate hydration in sport, through fun football activities without contact, regardless of their experience and level in this sport.” In addition, it will be attended by Tremaine Edmunds, ‘LineBacker’ head of the Chicago Bears and one of the key pieces of the team.
Together with him, Gustavo Silva, director of youth soccer at Chicago Bears, and his coaching staff, which will offer dynamic and educational training sessions in collaboration with some of the most representative clubs of American football in Spain will also be.
They will land in Madrid on March 17 and 18, at the Vallehermoso stadium, in collaboration with the Madrid Bravos team, which is promoting the growth of American football in the capital. In Valencia they will be on March 20 and 21 in the Sports City of Paterna, next to Valencia CF. Finally, on March 24 and 25 they will arrive in Badalona to be with the Badalona Dracs, the most laureate club in American football in Spain.
More than 5,000 children have already participated in this ‘Clinic’ since the beginning of the American team tour in April 2022 in the United States, which aims to help foster a lifestyle and healthy habits among the youngest.
