The Champions melts Atalanta

Champions League appointments take their toll on Atalanta again, which was perfect until he had to manage his eleven for the European games. Against Naples, a week ago, Gasperini made rotations and today he repeated with Sampdoria. The result was the same: two defeats as tough as they were deserved.

Ranieri's men played an orderly and aggressive match, immediately doing damage with a vertical pass from Damsgaard that put Quagliarella only in front of Sportiello. The 37-year-old forward did not miss, scoring his fourth goal in the last four games, and before the break he squandered the opportunity to reach five. Mojica hit the ball with his arm in his area, and the referee, after reviewing the VAR images, decided to award the maximum penalty, but the Neapolitan's launch was neutralized by Sportiello.

It was a positive sign for Bergamo, who started the second half with three starters, Toloi, Gosens and Zapata, instead of Sutalo, Mojica and Lammers. The revulsives, however, had little effect, since Thorsby, who had started the crash receiving two pipes from Ilicic, headed to the net by launching a Jankto cross.

The Dea cut distances 10 minutes from the final whistle, when Keita Baldé knocked down Duván Zapata in the area, who carried out the maximum penalty. The Samp, however, defended without suffering too much, waiting to find the backlash of the sentence, which came in the discount.

Keita himself faced Palomino and gave the ball to Jankto, who made the 1-3 with a thread. The Doriani, in this way, they added three wins in a row reaching in third place Atalanta, which lost the last two league games. On Tuesday it will be time to reclaim itself in Europe: for the continental premiere of the Gewiss Stadium, Ajax will arrive.
