The canvas of the Cup final, the future museum … and the Valencian house

It unfolded at the bottom of the Benito Villamarín just before the Valencia will jump onto the grass of the Betis stadium in the Cup final against Barça last year and, two hours later and with the trophy already in the hands of Dani Parejo, the canvas with the faces of Kempes, Baraja and Piojo López became a modern icon in the history of the club.

Now the entity has announced that the most significant parts of that mural it designed have been saved for the future museum of the club Lawerta and that it had the legend ‘Dream that we have no roof’.

Designed for single use only, the club explained, it could not be reused or permanently displayed outside of Mestalla as some fans had claimed.

The rest of the immense 1,500 square meter canvas it has been broken up and will be on sale from next week as a collector's item that will arrive framed with the date, the result and a description of that unforgettable triumph in Seville.
