The Brentford-Wolverhampton interrupted by the presence of a drone

The match between Brentford and Wolverhampton was interrupted for a quarter of an hour in the first half due to the presence of an “unofficial” drone over London’s Brentford Community Stadium.

The referee of the match, Peter Bankes, stopped the clash in the 35th minute due to the presence of the drone and sent both teams to the changing rooms.

Once the disappearance of the drone was verified in the surroundings of the venue, the footballers returned to the field of play to resume the clash, which passed without goals.

“There is a pause in the game and the teams have been taken off the field because there is an unofficial drone flying over the stadium…” said Wolverhampton’s official Twitter account.

The match already had to be stopped for six minutes after a heavy head-to-head clash between Brentford players Mathias Jensen and Rico Henry left both in shock.

The two, with blood on their faces, were substituted after being treated on the pitch by the local club’s medical services.
