The Brazilian Government shows solidarity with Neymar and protests against racism

The Brazilian Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights expressed its “solidarity” with Neymar on Tuesday, expelled in France after an incident that he denounced as racism, and protested against all kinds of discrimination.

On an official note, he “vehemently condemned all kinds of violence” and expressed his “repudiation” of “all episodes of discrimination based on skin color”. The statement also He reiterated “the commitment” of the Government of President Jair Bolsonaro with “the end of racism in football and in all of society.”

The game, played last Sunday in Paris, ended with five players sent off, including Neymar, who saw the red card after hitting the Spanish on the head Alvaro Gonzalez. After the match, the Brazilian national team player assured that he had been subjected to racist insults by the Olympique defender, who energetically denied it.

The case still has to be analyzed by the French sports authorities, but still Neymar and González have taken their duel to social networks, while both clubs have come out in defense of their players. “Now I want to see the image of the racist calling me 'monkey son of a bitch' … I was expelled, what about him?”, The Brazilian player wrote on Twitter, complaining about the red card that was applied to him. González, for his part, responded in the same way, but with photographs in which he appears with soccer teammates of various races and condemns all kinds of discrimination.
