The Bills’ chances of making the playoffs and the Browns’ Joe Flacco have been back in business after Week 14 of the 2023 NFL season.

The most recent round of NFL play has brought a lot of fun. The Rams and Ravens played until OT, and a walk-off punt catch helped one team stay in the running for the playoffs.

Joe Flacco tossed three scores to add to the name that is quickly becoming associated with the Browns. This time, the Bears not just tied the Lions, yet they also beat them.

We keep writing away the Buffalo Bills, which is easy to do when you look at their up-and-down record in crunch time, their boom-or-bust quarterback, and their defense that you can’t count on.

But when it counted, they stepped up against the heads of all the teams, which made Patrick Mahomes very angry in a way that isn’t often seen. Even though Kansas City appears weak this year, Sean McDermott’s team is still alive.

He was 38 years old, had a bad season in the New York Jets, as well as had not been signed by any team all summer. In the NFL, this is how most careers end, even those that were as good as Flacco’s. People stop playing, and we don’t notice.

Flacco stated he wanted to play though. It took him a while to find the right job. All around the NFL this season, quarterback play is a mess because of injuries and bad seasons. That’s what makes the Flacco story unique.

In September, Flacco told ESPN that he hoped his present availability would prove to be a good thing, but it’s possible that he was just hoping for the best.

Flanker got on a domestic flight just a few weeks ago if the Cleveland Browns needed another quarterback because Deshaun Watson had been cut.
Dorian Thompson-Robinson, a rookie, wasn’t very good. P.J. Walker, a senior backup, wasn’t either.

There had to be stages for Flacco, who has been a quarterback for 15 years and won Super Bowl MVP once, to be given the chance to make an impact. That being said, Flacco was right: he had been ready when the time came.

It did happen, and it’s been more successful than you’d think after seeing how bad Flacco was last season.

Last week, the Ravens lost to the Los Angeles Rams, but Flacco was fine. He then helped the Browns beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 31–27.

The Browns felt good after Flacco threw two early touchdowns. Even though the Jaguars came back in the second half, Flacco tossed another touchdown in the fourth quarter to make the score 20–0 for Cleveland.

In the end, Flacco had 311 yards and three scores. The fact that the Browns passed it 45 times shows how much they trust Flacco in his second game.

After the win on Sunday, head coach Kevin Stefanski promised reporters that Flacco would continue to start for the rest of this season. From sitting on the couch, Flacco could start a playoff game.

The Browns are 8-5 and should get at least an AFC wild card spot. After Watson hurt his arm and had to miss the season, that was shaky, but Flacco could save the Browns’ season.

After Sunday, the Browns have no reason to go back to Thompson-Robinson. The Browns don’t need Flacco to complete passes for 300 yards as well as three touchdowns every week, either. Their defense is great; they just need a good quarterback.

It’s not too different from how things were set up when Flacco played for the Baltimore Ravens in 2012 and helped them win the Super Bowl.

That being said, it was very unlikely which Flacco would ever find himself in that situation once more for a playoff squad 12 years later.

At least times this year, Fields was written off to be the Bears’ long-term quarterback. However, he has now led them to two straight upset victory over foes in the playoff picture.

No. But because his supporting cast is always boring, it’s clear that he hasn’t lost the “it” factor that comes from his looks.

Even better, he led like a seasoned pro in the days leading up to the Sunday big win over Detroit.

When asked if he was worried about the Bears picking up his replacement, he chose the high road.
