The M-86 Swimming Center hosts since Friday the XXVI Grand Prix FINA Community of Madrid, organized by the Royal Spanish Swimming Federation, where Spanish jumpers will seek a minimum mark for the Pre-Olympic. The 26th edition of this Grand Prix in Madrid is the starting signal for the FINA calendar, with a total of eight events (Rostock, Windsor, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Cairo, Bolzao and Gold Coast).
Among the hundred jumpers and power jumpers such as Canada, the United States or Australia, there are also seven Spanish. The jumps will be executed from a three-meter trampoline and from a fixed 10-meter platform, according to the specialty.
The event is a real show and the judges score from 0 to 10 each jump depending on different factors such as momentum, elevation, execution and entry into the water among other aspects. The difficulty of each maneuver is also taken into account.
Of the seven Spanish athletes summoned, five of them, Alberto Arvalo, Carlos Camacho, Nicols Garca, Valeria Antolino and Roco Velzquez, belong to the Real Canoe NC jumping team from Madrid, Adrin Abadia belongs to CS Mallorca and Hctor Prez, to CDN Sacoa. All of them accompanied by the technical team composed of Donald Miranda as responsible coach. In addition, Ramn Fumado, Manuel Gandarias and lvaro Prieto, these last two of Real Canoe NC, as preparers.
The M-86 Swimming Center of the Retiro district in Madrid is located at Jos Martnez de Velasco Street, number 3. Admission is free for the entire public.
