The accounts give Malaga a break

Malaga’s treasury breathes relieved. In a report recently sent to the court by the club’s judicial administrator, José María Muñoz, several large and vitally important income for the entity are collected.

This report, made public by the TO BEconfirms the cash entry in the first weeks of 2022 of a first payment of 9,750,676.83 euros corresponding to the agreement signed by LaLiga and the CVC fund. This contract will bring Malaga a total amount of more than 40 million euros.

Muñoz also reported a collection of 1,883,422.90 euros for television rights and 447,449.18 euros for ticket sales and 841,765.40 euros for product sales in official stores.

These four concepts (CVC, TV, tickets and sales in stores) have reported 13 million euros to the blue and white coffers in recent months. But these have not been the only income, since Muñoz has informed Judge Ruiz González of the cash entry of almost 21 million (20,864,491.82 euros) in the period between November 15, 2021 and 14 February 2022.

pending lawsuits

The communication issued by José María Muñoz to the court also includes the dates of two trials that are going to be held in the coming months with two former Blue and White soccer players. One of them will be with Michael Santos. The Uruguayan striker, who cost the entity 4.5 million in his day and whose performance at La Rosaleda was minimal, demands 137,876.70 euros from Malaga for non-payment of wages and unused vacations. The trial will take place on May 23.

A week before, on May 16, the conciliation act is set with Luis Hernández, from whom Málaga claims an amount of 63,814.73 euros. This is not the only dispute open with the current central defender of Cádiz, who is awaiting the ruling of the trial held on February 21 in which the player requested 110,416.64 euros from the club for unpaid wages. The court has already ruled in favor of Malaga in the defender’s first lawsuit, which asked the entity for 4.5 million euros in compensation after his dismissal.
