The 5+1 games you can’t miss this weekend

While in LaLiga Santander, Sunday’s Real Madrid-Barça will capture all the spotlight, in the rest of the international leagues there are many other matches that will delight international football lovers. In this sense, at Mundo Deportivo we have made a selection of five matches from the major European leagues and an additional one that, without being one of them, deserves mention.

Rome-Lazio (Sunday, 6:00 p.m.)

A derby is always a derby, and the Roman derby is not just any derby. Mourinho’s Roma and Sarri’s Lazio meet in a high-voltage duel in which not only the pride of the Italian capital is at stake, but also the European options of each other.

Middlesbrough-Chelsea (Saturday, 6.30pm)

After eliminating nothing more and nothing less than Manchester United and Tottenham, Middlesbrough, being a Championship team, receives Chelsea in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup. Tuchel’s men also arrive after a turbulent week in which not even they knew if they could travel due to the economic blockade to which the club is being subjected.

Bayern Munich-Union Berlin (Saturday, 6:30 p.m.)

After drawing their last two games in the Bundesliga, Bayern have seen Dortmund drop to just 4 points behind their lead. And in these he receives Union Berlin, with Nagelsmann’s men more than obliged to give their chest.

Inter-Fiorentina (Saturday, 6 pm)

Inter Milan receives Fiorentina, which is fighting to enter Europe, with the aim of winning so as not to move away from the fight for the ‘Scudetto’. In this sense, the visit of the leader Milan to Cagliari and the duel that Napoli play at home against Udinese also deserve attention.

Marseille-Nice (Sunday, 8:45 p.m.)

With PSG as the leader standing out and visiting Monaco, Olympique de Marseille and Nice meet in what is a duel to be the champion of the rest of the league. The second place in Ligue 1 has the prize of being able to play the next Champions League and both some and others want it.

River Plate-Boca Juniors (Sunday, 23.00 hours)

The ‘Superclásico’ par excellence. There are few rivalries like the one between River Plate and Boca Juniors, who will face each other again this Sunday at the Monumental. Great game with an Argentine accent!
