That’s not going to happen. The NFL has stopped Emagine’s plan to hold a Lions playoff game.

Emagine posted on social media Thursday night that the NFL had requested them not to hold their planned watch party at their locations. “We apologize for inconvenienced guests.”

The game would be free at Emagine spots in Royal Oak, Rochester Hills, Novi, Canton Township, Saline, and Woodhaven, as well as at the Riviera in Farmington Hills and the Quality 10 in Saginaw. Earlier in the day, it was stated.

People needed tickets, which they could get at the theater box office on a lottery system. Each group could only get eight seats. During break, theaters were going to give away prizes and offer special deals on drinks and snacks.

This week, Emagine and other theaters in the area showed the College Football Playoff National Championship game on their big screens thanks to a collaboration with the Theater Sports Network of Salt Lake City.

This network brings live sports events to movie theaters by bringing together media rights owners and exhibitors.

ESPN and the Theater Sports Network agreed to show about 75 college football games in theaters across the country during the 2023–24 season. The National Championship event was one of those games. $20 got you into the event.

The company announced on social media Thursday that the NFL requested the cancellation of its planned viewing. Eight sites across Southeast Michigan that were taking part were going to show the game for free.

In the Wild Card game on Sunday night, Matthew Stafford and the Rams will play the Lions during prime time. Lions fans eagerly anticipate Stafford’s comeback to Ford Field, three years after he was traded for Jared Goff.

In 2023, the Detroit Lions are enjoying a great season. Dan Campbell and his team won the NFC North Division, which means they will be going to the playoffs.

That’s right, Ford Field is going to host a playoff game for the first time since it opened in 2024. The last playoff game the Lions hosted was on January 8, 1994, if Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers were the last teams to play in the season.

People are very excited about the game because it will be the first playoff game played in Detroit in 30 years, and it’s the first occasion in NFL history that two starting players will play each other in the playoffs against teams they used to play for.

After losing in Week 17, it’s possible that the Lions won’t host a playoff game within 2024. They lost and are now the third seed in the NFC. It will be very hard for the Lions to advance up the table.

Before their game against the Cowboys in Dallas on Saturday night, the Lions could play any of eight teams in the 2019 playoffs. It depends on how tonight’s game goes and how the rest of the NFC Central race goes.

The Los Angeles Rams, the Seattle Seahawks, the Minnesota Vikings, the Atlanta Falcons, the Green Bay Packers (yikes, déjà vu?), the New Orleans Saints, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Chicago Bears are the eight teams that the Lions could play in the playoffs.

Fans of the Detroit Lions are in for a great time because their team is about to make history by making it to the playoffs. For a long time, they were at the bottom in the NFL, but things have gotten better since Dan Campbell took over.

Tigers fans would love to get playoff tickets, and it’s no surprise that they’re selling for a lot of money. StubHub notes that fans can purchase tickets for wildcard games with the date and time to be determined. Part 343, row 13, costs $508, which is the least expensive.

It’s important to know that StubHub has 367 single spots for sale right now. The most expensive is $3,496 for a place in Section 127, Row 9, right in the middle of the field.

You could also get a soft single ticket in section 123, row 8, or section 124, row 24, for $1,000. In Ford Field, that row was a good spot to see things.

From January 13th to 14th, or on Monday Night Football on January 15th, the Lions will host a wildcard round playoff game.
