Ter Stegen's confessions: diet, rituals, he doesn't watch football …

The German goalkeeper of the Barcelona, Marc-André ter Stegen, took advantage of his free time during the night of this Monday to make a 'Questions and Answers' through his official Twitter account, under the hashtag #AskMts. Among some of his confessions, he highlights the diet he carries out, the rituals he performs, practically not watching football, or the reason why he has a 'D' printed on his gloves …

What chances do you give Barcelona to win LaLiga?

“Now there are three important games with Germany that I want to win. Then there are ten LaLiga games and the final of the Copa del Rey. We are 100% motivated for these games.”

What were you thinking at the time? (an image with Andrés Iniesta)

“Final of the 2018 Copa del Rey in Madrid. Our 4th in a row. Andrés received an incredible and well-deserved ovation from the fans. Football aside, he is one of the best people I have met in my life.”

Have you ever tried playing in a different position during training other than goalkeeper?

“Goalkeeper. Always.”

Do you watch your previous matches?

“No. In general, I don't watch a lot of football on TV.”

What is your idol as a goalkeeper?

“Oliver Kahn”.

Are you still washing your gloves before matches as a ritual?

“Yes”.

I have always been very curious about the diet of footballers, could you tell us about it?

“For now I could say that I follow an ovo-lacto-vegetarian diet. But I don't like having restrictions, deciding what is natural.”

Last weekend Sevilla goalkeeper Bono scored the winning goal in the last minute. Have you ever thought about scoring goals?

“I'm very happy for him! Eibar's Dmitrovic also scored this season. My job is to defend the goal, worse if necessary, it would be a very nice thing to do.”

In five years where do you see yourself?

“Nobody knows the future, but what I want is to be happy, succeed and be healthy.”

What does the 'D' that you wear on your gloves mean?

“Dani, my wife.”
