MADRID, 8 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
FC Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has undergone surgery in Bordeaux (France) for his lower back problems, the Barça club announced this Friday, and will remain away from the playing field for about two months.
According to the Catalan entity, the intervention was carried out by Dr. Amélie Léglise under the supervision of the culé club's medical services, at the Sports Clinic Bordeaux Merignac in the French city.
Although FC Barcelona has limited itself to ensuring that he is out and his evolution “will determine his availability”, the German goalkeeper will be out for about two months, so Iñaki Peña will continue to lead the Barça goal.
So far, Ter Stegen, who has missed the last matches against Rayo, Atlético de Madrid and Porto, had played 17 games this season: 13 in LaLiga EA Sports and four in the Champions League, in which he conceded 15 goals and kept a clean sheet eight times.
