Tension in Rome: the club suspends sports director Petrachi

This afternoon the club has announced the 'suspension' of sports director Gianluca Petrachi, who had been confronting the board for days, in disagreement with technical and institutional decisions. “The coach and team will be guided directly by CEO Guido Fienga,” the giallorosso statement read. Following this step, it seems extremely unlikely that Petrachi will return to his post, long in the air due to his already null relationship with President Pallotta.

In the next few days, Roma should promote the role of sports director to the exporter Morgan De Sanctis, who would work together with Franco Baldini, Pallotta's advisor and defined as the club's 'gray eminence'.
