From Saturday, July 24 to Sunday, August 1. Friday 30: Men's doubles final and match for bronze. Saturday 31: Women's final and match for bronze and match for men's bronze. Women's doubles bronze and mixed doubles bronze.

Sunday 1st: Men's final, women's doubles final and mixed doubles final.

Ariake Tennis Park, on fast track. It has a field for 10,000 spectators with a retractable roof and up to 32 courts of different capacities for a total of 19,900 spectators. It has hosted the ATP and WTA tournaments for several years.

What does sport and competition consist of?

Olympic tennis does not differ from that of any tournament. The system is direct elimination. The matches are played in three sets, with tie-breaks in all. This changes compared to previous editions, in which the men's final was played in five sets.

In doubles and mixed doubles, when a set is tied, the match is decided in a 10-point super tie-break.

Ranking is based on ATP and WTA rankings and closes on June 8.

Each country can take a maximum of six men and six women (four singles and two in doubles).

Participants must have played three Davis Cup or Federation Cup qualifiers in the Olympic cycle. Two heats will serve if the player has played 20 crosses during his career. The International Federation (ITF) reserves invitations (injuries, youth, veterans …).

Attention to…

On Sunday, August 1, the men's final will be played. Novak Djokovic, in the absence of Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer, aims for gold. After winning Australia, Roland Garros and Wimbledon, he aspires to the 'Golden Slam' (the big four and the gold).

Great Britain (43 medals with 17 golds) and the United States (39 with 21 golds) are the leaders, especially since they achieved many in the first editions when tennis was less widespread in other countries.
