Tenerife gets up early and condemns Ibiza

Two early goals from Tenerife, the work of Mario González, condemned and devastated an Ibiza that was unable to overcome this harsh adversity, despite having a willful second period.

The light rain that greeted the players at the start of the match heralded an icy prelude, but for the Canarian host it was more than beneficial, since this circumstance did not prevent Mario, after four minutes, from scoring with a cross shot, after receiving a diagonal pass from Elady.

But as the rain intensified, the islanders redoubled their harassment of Domínguez’s frame and, above all, their efficiency, hence the arrival of the second goal with Mario again as the protagonist, this time by resolving a Mellot pass with Vaseline, after of a devilish career of the Gallic defender.

This advantage from Tenerife undoubtedly softened their insistence on the area defended by the Balearic Islands, a team that no matter how hard they tried and approached Soriano’s surroundings, they barely bothered him in this first half, thus reaching the break.

At the restart the rain also led to an anomalous start, but this time it was Ibiza who tried to impose their supremacy, hence Paco Jémez’s risky and daring bet, but without obtaining the desired results, at least in attack, with a Davos’ only shot in the first leg of the restart.

Appin also tried (m.66), but his shot from the edge of the box went wide, while at home Andrés immediately had a good chance, but his low shot was cleared by Domínguez who, in the final stretch, also he cleared a shot from Shashoua for a corner.

In this way, a match concluded that further emphasizes the condition of the Tenerife team’s contender for promotion, while the Ibizan will have to wait a few more weeks to try to get closer to a sixth position that is increasingly resisting him.
