Teams could sport bookmaker advertising

Spanish teams sponsored by betting houses could play in the return of the competition with their usual clothing without violating any rule. In fact, the normal thing, these sources insist, is that tomorrow, Wednesday, the Bulletin concludes this prohibition, which came into force on April 1. Article 37 of the Royal Decree regulating the state of alarm established that no type of promotion could be made to invite online gambling (only formula for practicing this activity after the state of alarm itself closed the physical gaming premises) from that date except in restricted hours, from 1 to 5 in the morning. The proposal was promoted by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs led by Alberto Garzón.

The matter had many teams of First and Second concerned about operational issues (preparation of the game clothing), but above all for financial reasons, since the brands of these sponsors cannot wear for three days.

If this measure is confirmed, eight First Division teams will benefit more directly, since the main sponsors of their shirts are bookmakers. Namely: Seville, Valencia, Osasuna, Levante, Leganés, Alavés, Granada and Mallorca.

Further, several teams in the elite category, but also in the Second Division, may wear this type of advertising on a secondary basis, both in the shirt (sleeves or back of the clothing) and in pants.

The measure also affects the static advertising of the stadiums and the television U in which variable mobile advertising is broadcast during the meetings.
