MADRID, 28 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish tennis player Carlos Taberner lost (1-6, 6-2, 6-2) against the Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime this Thursday in the second round of the Estoril tournament (Portugal), like last week at the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell- Count of Godó Trophy.
The Valencian stumbled twice over the same stone in one week, an Auger-Aliassime that started lower but signed two forceful sets in his debut, better adapted to the wind that marked the day in the ATP 250 on Portuguese soil.
Taberner started with a promising 1-6, but the American player struck back in the second set, where he went up 5-0. Facing the decisive round, the Spaniard could not find a way to return to the match, overcome by the wind and the aggressiveness of the Canadian, already in the quarterfinals in Portugal.
