COPENHAGEN (DPA/EP), 20 Jul. (SportsFinding) –
The soccer players of the Swedish national team Hanna Glas and Emma Kullberg and a staff member have tested positive for coronavirus and will not be able to play next Friday’s quarterfinal match against Belgium at the European Championship in England, which takes place until 31 December. July, the Nordic country’s soccer federation reported.
In a statement, the Swedish federation reported that defenders Hanna Glas and Emma Kullberg had contracted the Sars-CoV-2 virus, as confirmed by the PCR tests they underwent after testing positive in rapid tests.
The players and staff member have been isolated and will return as soon as they are symptom-free, retest negative and have passed internal medical tests.
