A tense moment was experienced on Tuesday morning in Public Mirror Following Manu Tenorio’s call to talk about the drama of his house, supposedly squatted, in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. The singer, who sat on the set of Sonsoles Ónega on Monday, has been accused of having a debt with the Treasury and that this is the real reason why the tenants are not paying their rent, since this money would be going directly to the Treasury without first going through the artist.
Given the doubts generated by the contract, the presenter has opened the debate: “You have me very confused, I think our audience too”The singer raised his voice, annoyed by the presenter’s question: “But how do you have a flat that you own rented without a contract?”the Catalan communicator insisted. “When did I say that? There is no contract.”the former winner snapped, indignant.
“But how do you rent a flat without a contract?” the presenter insisted again. And finally the singer’s explanation arrived: “The contract has already come to an end. They were begged to leave the home and now they are without a contract.”.
After the heated debate, the singer was also outraged by the comments of the collaborators present on the set (Gema López, Laura Fa and Lorena Vázquez): “I can’t answer nonsense”. And he asked to speak only to Griso, with whom he had already managed to keep the conversation in the most relaxed tone: “When you get back, talk to me, and only me”The presenter promised her, and so it was, when the programme came back with the three of them gagged, literally.
“I don’t gag anyone”the singer said with a light laugh. “I’m not here to muzzle anyone, but I have to have the freedom to choose who I want to talk to.”he insisted.
“You said the contract ended a year ago”Griso told him to get the conversation going again. And the singer, married to Silvia Casas since 2008, explained: “I have always rented it under contract, at no time has that apartment been rented under the table nor has any money been invoiced under the table. Never in my life”.
And he pointed out: “The apartment is mine and this is not a property for speculation. This was the first thing I bought after leaving Operation TriumphI bought it for my mother and my grandmother. It is the first house my mother owned and the one where my grandmother died. We’re talking about a home. You know what I’m saying? I’ve always complied with my tax and tax obligations.“All this is verifiable.”
Griso has ended the conversation: “If you deny having debts with the Treasury, the debate is over”. However, he has left the door open to receive the rest of the versions: “It is also in our hands to confirm everything that they are telling us”.
This Monday, in And now SonsolesMaria Teresa Perez, from Podemos, said: “Manu Tenorio is a defaulter who is encouraging the false discourse of squatting and discrediting some anonymous tenants who, according to him, do not pay him”among other headlines. This Tuesday, in Public MirrorThe singer has assured that he will take legal action against her: “I am not going to get involved in that, I am just going to follow the legal path of my complaints for slander. How can you be so foolish as to echo only one side of the conflict? He doesn’t have the nerve to say, ‘Hey, I’m going to call this guy.'”
