Stuttgart win and leave the promotion

Stuttgart beat Mainz 2-1 on Friday in the game that opened the 13th day of the German Bundesliga. Thanks to this victory, the team led by Pellegrino Matarazzo left the promotion position and placed 13th.

Japan’s Hiroki Ito put Stuttgart ahead in the 21st minute with a first-touch goal, but Mainz, 9th in the table, wasted no time in restoring the equality to the scoreboard through Alexander Hack. The German scored, in 39, with a header from a corner.
