Students, Palencia, Lleida and Girona fight for the last ticket to the Endesa League

MADRID, 17 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Movistar Estudiantes, Zunder Palencia, Força Lleida and Basquet Girona, the latter as host, will fight from this Saturday for the last ticket that gives access to the Endesa League, in a ‘Final Four’ that starts tomorrow at the Fontajau pavilion (Girona) .

The first duel of this ‘F4’ will face Movistar Estudiantes with Zunder Palencia (5:30 p.m.), where the first finalist will come from, while ICG Força Lleida will face the ‘local’ team, Bàsquet Girona, at from 8:00 p.m.

Once the first promotion to the ACB has been confirmed, Coviran Granada – more than a month ago – another four clubs are grabbing the last chance to gain a foothold among the best in national basketball with very different trajectories in the final stretch of the season.

On the one hand, Estudiantes wants to revive laurels against a Palencia that has taken the measure this course. The Castilian-Leonese won their two games in the regular League against Ramiro, but they know that they will face the great favorite of this ‘playoff’ -by history and by squad- to return to the Endesa League.

In the other semifinal, Girona goes with all the law so as not to fail in its ‘final’. The great argument is called Marc Gasol, the reference of the Catalans in his year of return to Europe. The Gasol middleweight has been essential for Básquet Girona to reach the ‘Final Four’ with an unstoppable revival in the last six months.

In addition, Força Lleida arrives at the meeting after having played five games in the previous series, another factor in favor of the ‘hosts’ due to wear and tear, in a final phase that is called to face them with Estudiantes in the definitive battle for the last ticket to the Endesa League.
