Uruguayan striker Cristhian Stuani will miss the next month of competition due to a benign arrhythmia that has been detected during the training week and that will be a significant drop in a team in which he had played in all the games and of which he is one of the captains, Girona reported this Friday.
“The player has had a benign cardiac arrhythmia. Approximate time off, one month,” reads the brief statement issued by Girona on the state of health of the 35-year-old scorer, who is expected to be able to rejoin the group in a month , surely missing the matches against Mallorca, Valladolid, Betis and Real Sociedad.
His coach, Míchel, explained at a press conference what happened with the South American. “During the week, Stuani had a feeling, what has come out, an arrhythmia, and thank God at the health level he is perfectly fine and they have reassured us all with the tests they have done. It is part of the heart of Girona and it beats, it beats hard,” he said.
“He’s going to get a scare and nothing more, that’s the feeling. But it’s true that with the tests they’re going to do he’s going to be out for a month, but after three years looking to return to the First Division this isn’t going to stop, so in a very short time he will be back with us again”, concluded the Madrid coach.
