Storybook night at Versailles: Kings Charles and Camilla share the evening with the Macrons, Mick Jagger and Hugh Grant

The Parisian palace has dressed up to host the state banquet for the presidential wedding, Emmanuel and Brigitte Macronhave offered in honor of their guests, Kings Charles III and Camilla. The ladies have matched their looks with a very sophisticated and elegant petrol blue that they have combined with stunning jewelry.

The British monarch has opted for a long design with thin straps with a subtle V-neckline and a full skirt with a flared silhouette accompanied by a majestic cape. A Dior Haute Couture design, made especially for the queen by Maria Grazia Chiuri, which was combined with the symbolic set of sapphires that George VI gave to his former mother-in-law at her wedding with Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark (later Philip of Edinburgh) and which she completed with matching earrings and bracelet from Carrington & Co.

The French first lady, for her part, wore a long straight-cut dress with long satin sleeves, topped with strips of silver Swarovski crystals, matching emerald earrings and rings.

VIP guests

The evening featured a large number of international stars such as Mick Jagger (with his girlfriend Mel Hamrick), Hugh Grant (with his wife, Anna Elisabet Eberstein) and Carole Bouquetactress and mother-in-law of Carlota Casiraghi, among other 150 guests.

They all enjoyed an appetizer created by chef Anne-Sophie Pic, with three Michelin Stars, which consists of a starter composed of blue lobster and crab with a veil of fresh almonds and a touch of mint and coconut gel. The main course, made by the also three Michelin Star Yannick Alléno, is composed of: Bresse poultry flavored with corn and gratin with porcini mushrooms. For dessert, pastry chef Pierre Hermé has made a rose, lychee and raspberry cake.

The dinner, which did not include dishes such as foie gras at the express wish of the British monarch, was served on a 62-meter-long table located in the Gallery of Mirrors, where the Treaty of Versailles, which ended the First World War.
