Stephen Curry to sell NFTs of his historic sneakers for $ 333 a unit

To commemorate Stephen Curry’s historic record of being the top 3-pointer in NBA history, Under Armor will release its first digital good in the form of 2,974 NFTs, or non-expendable tokens, which are digital replicas of the gaming shoe that Curry wore when he broke the record: the Genesis Curry Flow.

Each digital shoe can be worn in three pre-programmed game ecosystems (Gala Games, Decentraland, and Sandbox), making it the first functional shoe in the metaverse. To bring this project to life, Under Armor partnered with Berlin Cameron, a creative agency with a history of creating culturally impactful creative for world-class brands.

All net proceeds from the primary sales of these first NFTs will be donated to organizations that support access to the sport, including providing access to programs, coach development, safe places to play, and equipment and clothing, all of which can act as barriers to performance. The Genesis Curry Flow can now be purchased for $ 333 (295 euros) at 2974.currybrand.com.

Curry 9 Flow

Built on the revolutionary UA Flow technology, the Curry Flow 9 basketball shoes give Curry a sensation of great traction and lightness on the court, allowing him to sprint, stop, cut and jump with more effectiveness and comfort than his opponents.

In addition to during the game, the Curry Flow shoe has actually also improved Stephen’s performance after games. A lightweight, low-impact shoe translates to less muscle wasting, ensuring faster recovery time.
