Stephen A. Smith calls Lamar Jackson a “choke job” in the Ravens’ loss to the Chiefs.

Stephen A. Smith calls Lamar Jackson a “choke job” in the Ravens’ loss to the Chiefs.

Without a doubt, Stephen A. Smith wasn’t happy with Lamar Jackson’s play as the quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens in Sunday’s AFC title game.

Jackson did run for 54 yards and throw for 272 yards, but the Ravens’ offense only scored 10 points in their defeat over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jackson lost a fumble in the first half or threw an expensive interception in the red zone in the second. These were both big mistakes that kept Baltimore from scoring.

Because of this, Smith said Jackson’s performance was a “choke job” on Monday’s episode for First Take.

“Patrick Mahomes is great, amazing, the best player ever…” “Lamar Jackson is the main story, though,” Smith said. “Excuse me, ladies and gentlemen, but that was a choke job.

Let’s say what it is. What does the term “choke job” mean? If you’re used to doing something, you do it until the right time comes and then you don’t. That’s what we’re talking about when we come to this.”

Jackson has only won two of his last four playoff games. Jackson’s yardage total on Sunday was his second in a playoff game, but he has now completed less than 60% of his passes to all four of his career playoff losses.

And because the Ravens were so good during the regular season, losing to another great quarterback in a big game is a mark for the Baltimore quarterback’s resume.

It was a sad afternoon for the Maryland Ravens and their fans when they lost the AFC Championship game at home to the Kansas City Chiefs.

There will be more stories about star quarterback Lamar Jackson and whether or not he can win the “big game.” Stephen A. Smith of ESPN’s First Take questions the same thing.

Molly Qerim asked on the show if either Chiefs player Patrick Mahomes going back to play in the final or Jackson not making it was the “bigger story” coming out of the AFC championship game.

Smith had no trouble giving an easy answer about the Ravens quarterback who had a bad game.

“I think Lamar Jackson doesn’t do enough. I’m sorry to say this, but I think that’s what happened. Smith said, “We get that Mahomes is great, wonderful, and the best player ever.”

“They scored 17 points in the end, but that doesn’t show how good he and Travis Kelce were when the score mattered.”

A lot of people wanted the Ravens to win because they didn’t want to witness the same team get to the Super Bowl again and again and have a chance to win.

It will be the fourth Super Bowl for the Chiefs in the five years preceding this one. They will be there on February 11.

Lamar Jackson and the Ravens almost made it through to the Super Bowl on Sunday, but they lost 17–10 to the Kansas City Chiefs. It was a terrible day for the Baltimore offense.

After the initial quarter, the Ravens only scored three points. They will now endure a long offseason.

On Monday, Stephen A. Smith of ESPN didn’t hold back when he talked about how the Ravens, and especially Lamar Jackson, played against the Chiefs.

Jackson only completed 20 out of 37 passes in Sunday’s loss, gaining 272 yards with a scoring pass and an interception. The Ravens’ offensive plan did not help him.

Besides his eight running attempts that afternoon, none of the other Ravens’ backs had more than eight.

That was Gus Edwards’s only carry of the game, going 20 yards. He had scored 13 touchdowns so far this season.
