Spotify presents the podcast ‘The last days of Maradona’

MADRID, 23 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The multimedia services company Spotify presented this Tuesday ‘The last days of Maradona’, a podcast about the death of the Argentine footballer, with six episodes and narrated by the former footballer, former coach and former partner of the Argentine ’10’ Jorge Valdano, just two days after the anniversary of a death that sparked prosecutions and conspiracy theories.

‘The last days of Maradona’ is an investigation into how Diego Armando Maradona died and the importance of his figure in Argentina and the rest of the world, reconstructing everything that happened during the last months of the life of the Argentine ’10’.

Throughout the 6 episodes of the podcast (40 minutes long each), which are already available on Spotify, unpublished testimonies of people who were close to Maradona are revealed, with audio materials of daily conversations of his team, collected for the police investigation.

In addition to knowing in detail what the inner circle that surrounded the legend and the path that led to his death was like, ‘The last days of Maradona’ discovers a human being, with his problems and his struggles, but also with his joys, hopes and dreams.

The narrator chosen for this podcast was Jorge Valdano, who made it clear that Maradona was “synonymous with soccer.” “He was also infinite. For that reason, that November 25 we could not believe that Maradona had died. The infinities do not die and Diego, in addition, had accustomed us to continuous resurrections. This podcast aims to answer all the questions about his shocking end” , confessed the ex-footballer in statements provided by Spotify.

“It is a great honor for us to announce the launch of ‘The Last Days of Maradona’ in Spain. Diego Maradona is a great legend around the world, and we hope that all fans of the world can hear this in-depth investigation. With this release alone We reinforce our commitment to creating unique and relevant content for listeners around the world, as well as becoming the premier audio destination, “said Eduardo Alonso, Head of Studios for Southern and Eastern Europe at Spotify.

‘The last days of Maradona’ is the first simultaneous launch of the streaming audio platform in six markets, including Spain, with its respective adaptation and its own presenter. In addition to Jorge Valdano in Spain, he was introduced by former professional footballer and coach Thierry Henry (in France and the UK); the journalist Juca Kfuori (in Brazil); the Italian actor Salvatore Esposito (in Italy) and the journalist and follower of ’10’ Matías Martin (in Argentina).
