Sporting feels on the rise

Sporting Huelva feels good. Gone are difficult moments: the resignation of Antonio Toledo after 15 years at the helm of the team for fear of COVID-19, the outbreak that affected the squad at the end of January (six positive among players and coaching staff) … Now, the Andalusian set is located out of the relegation zone after scoring two consecutive victories and it will recover two postponed meetings in the next ten days.

“With the work that we are doing little by little we are achieving the objective”, Coach Jenny Benítez said in BE Sporty this week. Along the same lines, Patri Ojeda has spoken in The Extension: “Everything is very tight, but we have to go game by game because they are all a final”.

And in the next ten days they play two super finals. But Sporting comes at a great moment. It is the only team of the Primera Iberdrola, taking away the almighty Barça, who has won their last two games. In addition, he did it against direct rivals, 1-0 at Rayo Vallecano and 0-1 at Santa Teresa.

Pulling the bolt back has been key for Jenny Benítez's, who have played 17 games in the 20 league games so far. Now, it's almost their turn to catch up. On Saturday February 27 they host Levante at home, in the postponed match of matchday 16, and the Wednesday, March 3, they visit Deportivo, current red lantern of the highest category, corresponding to day 17. It is in his hands to get a little closer to the goal of salvation.
