Spain wins four medals on the second day of the Elzach World Cup for adapted cycling

MADRID, 13 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish adapted cycling team starred in a great second day at the World Cup in Elzach (Germany) with four medals, the golds of Ricardo Ten (C1) and Maurice Eckhard (C2) in their time trials and the silvers of Christian Venge and Noel Martín, in tandem, and Juan Alberto Jiménez, in C4.

The first to fall this Friday morning was that of Venge and Martín, with a time of 34:00 under a heavy downpour, behind the Dutch Bagma-Bos. The weather improved in the afternoon session and Ten reaffirmed his status as world champion, beating German Michael Teuber by almost a minute.

The second gold medal of the day for Spain came with the victory of Maurice Eckhard, ahead of the Czech Ivo Koblasa and the British Ryan Taylor. In addition, Juan Alberto Jiménez, a young talent from the Spanish team, achieved his first podium finish in a World Cup with a time of 36:49, only behind the American John Terrel.
