Spain makes a plenary session and will face the Netherlands in the semifinals

The Spanish women’s under-17 team extended its full of victories in the European Championship in Bosnia Herzegovina and will face the Netherlands in the semifinals of the tournament next Thursday, after finishing first in group B by winning 3-0 on Monday to that of France.

After overcoming their first two games against Norway (0-4) and Finland (4-0) with absolute ease, the Spanish team encountered their first difficulties in the tournament against a solid French team that demanded like few others those of Kenio Gonzalo .

And that France, already thinking about the semifinals, presented a new team in which only two of the usual starters appeared, the central Lola Boisset and the right back Taeryne Job.

A circumstance that did not prevent the French team from hindering the movement of the ball for the Spanish team, who had a hard time connecting with their wide players, the main source of danger for Spain in the first two days of the tournament.

This was demonstrated by the more than thirteen minutes that Kenio Gonzalo’s team took to put a ball ahead of Paula Partido, who got bored in the first two days of striking again and again down the right wing against Norway and Finland.

But not even in this way did the Spanish team alter, which is clear that both Partido, on the right wing, and Lucía Corrales, on the left, are fundamental in their offensive scheme.

At the moment in which Spain managed to open the game, the first chances came for Kenio Gonzalo’s men, who saw how at 25 minutes the crossbar repelled a header by Jone Amezaga after a run down the right wing by Paula Partido.

A move that seemed to unleash the Spanish team, which resolved the contest in the following six minutes with goals from Paula Partido and Jone Amezaga, who could not more successfully replace Carla Camacho at the point of attack of the Spanish team.

Two goals in which Lucía Corrales played a fundamental role, who at the moment she had the opportunity to go deep down the left wing became an insoluble problem for the French team.

If Paula Partido did not miss a cross from Corrales in the 28th minute to make it 1-0, minutes later, in the 31st, the Real Madrid player converted another ball served by Lucía Corrales into an unbeatable assist for Jone Amezaga to establish the 2-0.

The score seemed to make the French coach react, Cecile Locatelli, who brought on striker Lucie Calba at the start of the second half, who had been fundamental in the triumphs reaped by the galas over Finland and Norway.

However, nothing and no one could prevent the victory of the Spanish team, which extended its lead in the 69th minute with a goal (3-0) by Lucía Corrales, in an action in which roles were exchanged and the Barcelona winger resolved with quality a pass from Paula Partido.
