Spain loses a place in the FIFA ranking after the EURO and is placed eighth

MADRID, 5 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish women’s soccer team has dropped one place in the FIFA ranking and is now eighth after reaching the quarterfinals of the last European Championship in England, while the hosts of this event are fourth.

The team led by Jorge Vilda remains in the ‘Top 10’, but loses one position due to the jump made by the English team, which goes from eighth position to touch the podium of the world ranking, led by the United States.

In addition, Germany, which was runner-up in Europe, also improves three places and is placed behind the Americans, while the ‘Top 3’ is completed by Sweden, which was a semifinalist in England and loses one place compared to June.
