The Spanish Davis Cup team will meet this Wednesday, March 29, its first three rivals in the fight to win the competition during the draw for the group stage of the Finals that will take place in Malaga starting at 4:00 p.m. starts as seed.
The draw will divide the 16 qualified nations into four groups of four teams that will fight for the eight tickets to the quarterfinals between September 12-17, 2023 in four cities to be confirmed that same day. The ‘Final 8’ will be held for the second consecutive year in Malaga from November 21 to 26.
The ITF confirmed Spain as one of the seeded teams, along with Canada and Australia, current champion and runner-up, and Croatia, for a draw in which the four host countries of this phase will be separated.
The main dangers of the second drum come from Italy, which can count on a powerful team, and Novak Djokovic’s Serbia, while from the third, the rival to be avoided by the Spanish would be the United States.
