Spain goes to the U-17 World Cup with Marc Guiu and without Lamine Yamal

MADRID, 24 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish U-17 men’s soccer coach, José Lana, announced this Tuesday the list of those called up for the U-17 World Cup in Indonesia, which will be held from November 10 to December 2, with the already predicted absence of Lamine Yamal and the presence of Marc Guiu who, after making his debut with the Barça first team with a goal, leads a long Blaugrana expedition.

With eight players, FC Barcelona is by far the team from which Spain draws the most for this U-17 World Cup event. Despite the absence of Lamine Yamal, who has already made his debut with the senior team, Barça contributes those eight players, of which Guiu stands out, one of the youngest debutants and scorers in Can Barça.

Along with the striker of Granollers, the ‘culers’ Pau Prim, Héctor Font, Marc Guiu, Pau Cubarsí, Andrés Cuenca, Marc Bernal, Quim Junyent and Juan Hernández are on a list in which the second team with the most presence is Real Madrid , with four footballers, among them Paulo Iago Álvarez, one of the brightest pearls in the white quarry.

“The Spanish under-17 team already has an official call for the World Cup of the category. The coach, José Lana, has made official the list of 21 footballers who will travel to Indonesia to face the great challenge of lifting the only World title that Spain is missing,” revealed the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

Spain is in Group B of the U-17 World Cup, in which it will face Canada, Mali and Uzbekistan in an event in Indonesia that starts in less than a month.

The list of those called up is the following: Daniel Muñoz (Atlético), Peio Huestamendia (Basconia), Pau Prim, Héctor Font, Marc Guiu, Pau Cubarsí, Andrés Cuenca, Marc Bernal, Quim Junyent and Juan Hernández (FC Barcelona), Francisco Pedro Tree (Granada), Izan Merino (Málaga), Marcos González (Celta), Óscar Mesa, Roberto Martín, Daniel Yáñez and Paulo Iago Álvarez (Real Madrid), Jon Martín (Real Sociedad), Raúl Jiménez and Pablo López (Valencia), Igor Venancia Oyono (Villarreal).
