The Spanish badminton team has entered the final of the European Women's Team Championship, which is being held in Lodz (Poland), after beating Scotland in the semifinals this Saturday (3-0), and will fight this Sunday for the gold medal against Denmark, which defeated France in the other semifinal (3-1).
The Spanish team, led by captain Carolina Marín and with Clara Azurmendi, Beatriz Corrales, Paula López, Ania Setién, Lucía Rodríguez and Nikol Carulla as components, once again defeated the British, whom they already faced and won in the second day of the group stage and that they only changed Brooke Stalker for Julie MacPherson in the three compared to that occasion.
The Huelva native, current world runner-up, was the first to jump onto court 2 of the Sport Arena in Lodz and was able to make up for her defeat on Thursday against Kirsty Gilmour. In a match in which she always took the initiative, Marín won 21-15 and 21-11.

Finally, Beatriz Corrales certified the Spanish team's place in the final with a 21-7 double against Julie MacPherson in just 25 minutes.
Now, they will seek to emulate what was achieved in Baku 2018, where Lorena Uslé, Sara Peñalver, Elena Fernández and the now veterans Carolina Marín and Beatriz Corrales, accompanied by Carlos Longo and Salvador Franco as selectors, hung the gold medal around their necks.
