The Spanish futsal team beat Portugal (4-3) in a luxury rehearsal this Saturday for Euro 2022 that begins on January 19, which will have a second round on Sunday, thanks to Sergio Lozano superlative.
In a small pavilion in the Malaga town of Rincón de la Victoria, the two futsal powers faced each other three months after the Portuguese left out the Spanish in the quarterfinals of the World Cup. Sergio Lozano, who was not at that meeting in Lithuania, was the one who opened and closed the victory.
The champion of Europe and the world started below 1-0 of the ‘Buffalo’. Those of Fede Vidal entered with enthusiasm and a goal for the squad to squeeze the Iberian neighbors, but from the possible 2-0 it went to the tie of Alfonso in a good play by Bruno Coelho. Chino and Raúl Gómez put Spain in command before the break, but the second half was more of the Portuguese.
Tiago Brito and Zicky put the tables again and, 14 seconds from the end, after an exchange of blows, Lozano appeared again, to give a victory of prestige and confidence to those of Vidal. Both teams will face each other again this Sunday, tuning up for the Euro that is being played in the Netherlands in a month.
