MADRID, 12 Apr. (SportsFinding) –

The Spanish water polo teams already know their rivals in the group stage of the Budapest World Cup, which takes place from June 18 to July 3, 2022, according to the draw held this Tuesday in the Hungarian capital.

The women’s national team, current World Cup silver, will face in the first phase the teams of Thailand, France and Greece, in group D, which will take place in the town of Szeged, reports the International Swimming Federation.

The players led by Miki Oca, who have won two consecutive World Cup silvers, will try to break the dominance of the United States, which has dominated the World Championship since Kazan 2015.

For its part, David Martín’s men’s team will face each other in Group C with the teams of Italy, current world champion, Canada and South Africa. On this occasion, the first phase will be played in the Hungarian town of Sopron.
